Outpost Performance Space

Welcome to the Outpost

Since 1988, Outpost, Albuquerque’s Non-Profit, MEMBER-SUPPORTED, Community-Based Performing Arts Center has been THE PLACE TO BE for live music, jazz, roots, folk, world, education and art. Click below to learn more about becoming a MEMBER.

Outpost Productions has been a non-profit arts organization since 1988. Since 1990, we’ve made our home at the Outpost Performance Space, a unique and intimate, non-smoking, non-alcohol, storefront alternative performance venue.

In the spring of 2000, The Space moved to 210 Yale SE just two blocks south of Central in the heart of the University District. An elegant, nonprofit, no-nonsense, community-based, performing arts cent.

Educational Programs

All classes are taught by the Outpost team comprising saxophonist, Kanoa Kaluhiwa; drummer, Sharon Eldridge; pianist, Jim Ahrend; and trombonist/percussionist, César Bauvallet. We aim to build positive attitudes, trust, teamwork, cooperation, confidence, compassion, and a sense of humor—everything you could ever want from music. Both Youth and Adults will perform a recital for family and friends at the end of their second session. It is expected that students will have their own instruments to bring to class. Outpost will provide a piano, a drumset, and guitar & bass amplifiers.
